My missiles.... oh my missiles...

The game itself is not back at all, and a long screen vertical shooter is still pretty rare for some strange reason.

The only gripes I have about the game: rapid firing maniacs like us will find our missile resetting its position if we press the fire button too quickly, resulting in a "missile shield" instead of missiles that goes all the way down the screen. It's the same programming mistake I made in 8th grade... you can put a quick fix on it by increasing the missiles you can fire, or putting a lock to the fire key when you run out of missiles to fire, but both of them are hardly ideal solutions.

the best solution, though, is to use duplicateMovieClip to create the missiles. That way, you can be sure that the missile supply will never run out (remove them when they're destroyed, of course)

best of luck!

Great game with minor glitches...

Wow, I think this is by far the most innovative interface for playing a soccer game... Most things are tuned well except:

1) It's hard to run into the ball without kicking it, even if I'm not charging the kick meter... which is troublesome if you're running back home to catch up with your ball.

2) Given that the file size is only 144k, you can probably get a longer sound loop... the one you have right now becomes really annoying in about 5 mintues.

You'll never get to whip enough things...

This is a very authentic parody of Castlevania 2... since I'm a Castlevania fan myself, I'd have to say great job... but can't you put back in the jump whip or make the jumps a bit easier? (I know, the original Castlevania has cranky jumps like that).

I keep jumping into the water while trying to whip Jesus's arse. :/

w00t!

I love this! Xiao Xiao seems to be getting better and better -- this is a smooth and powerful adaptation of a virtual cop like game, and I've never seen none that's as detailed as this one! It has everything -- barrels, rockets, knife throwers, location based damage (try shooting a guy's toe)...

My only beef with it is that ambient sounds are missing, as well as footsteps and the falling sound... but that's REALLY pecking on a rock, now.

Kudos again, kudos.

Better than my own game.

This is an example of what I wanted to do in my original game, but never got the time (or effort) to actually go about doing it. Great job... this is way better than my original!

Thanks. I think I figured out the problem with the quality. I'll just hope they could follow the instructions.

What the Fuck... I made this game!

Dude, if you're going to steal my games, at least have the decency to e-mail me before you do it. I did say that I released the .fla for other peoples to make their own DDR songs, but it'd be nice if you have the decency to cut down the length and refine the moves, both of which are reasons I didn't post this on the portal.

If anyone wants to know, this .swf was posted on flashkit.com, in the arcade->music section, with my name on it and predates this post by a long, long time.

Why isn't this on the top of the chart yet?

I just hate lamers who friggin give a zero for every game that they lose at. Lamers!

It's just so close to perfect, yet...

Even though I didn't finish the game, I enjoyed it... as far as the game is concerned it's pretty complete. If the game can pick up the pace (a tutorial would REALLY help, too), I'd definitely max out the ratings.
